Network of Exelon Women sponsors donation drive for professional women’s attire to support a Baltimore nonprofit

In June 2019 the Baltimore chapter of the Network of Exelon Women (NEW) employee resource group collected hundreds of suits, skirts, accessories, and other gently used women’s business attire in a donation drive to benefit Suited to Succeed (STS), a nonprofit that supports Baltimore-area women working to improve their economic independence. NEW leadership and BGE Spring Gardens employees loaded all of the donated items onto three pickup trucks on July 26 for delivery to the STS headquarters.
BGE also presented STS with a $2,500 donation check at the event.
This is the fourth year NEW has partnered with STS to collect clothing and accessories. STS provides professional attire, career development and life skills training, networks of support, and other tools to help women experiencing hardship become successful in life.
