BGE provides food to 100 families in Highlandtown

BGE partnered with the Maryland Food Bank to distribute bags of nonperishable food to 100 families in the Highlandtown community of Baltimore City on Sept. 16. Salem United Methodist Church and its pastor hosted and helped coordinate the donation event, which was well attended thanks to prior promotion by the Highlandtown Community Association. Leftover food that could fill more than 100 additional bags was donated to the church pantry.
