Whether in court—or on one—Beverly Winstead, Esq, is a tenacious leader. One of the Bar Association’s Top 40 Under 40 and the first person of color to chair the Maryland State Bar’s tax section, it’s no surprise Winstead was named a 2023 Super Lawyer.

As the leader of Winstead Law, a Black and woman-owned business, Beverly and her team are deeply committed to the community’s needs. With funding from a BGE Energizing Small Business Grant, Winstead Law can further focus their skills and talents for the benefit of their clients, according to Winstead. “We will use the funds for technology and marketing to provide better service and greater visibility throughout the Baltimore City community,” she says.

The talented team of associates at Winstead Law also helps individuals, business owners, and corporate leaders resolve disputes with the IRS and state tax agencies, lowering stress loads and reducing financial ones. They also specialize in estate planning and sports and entertainment law.

“We are grateful for the opportunity this grant provides because it increases our resources to help us become more accessible to our established clients and Baltimore City residents.”
