When I think about my work at BGE, I don’t just think about power lines, transformers, or construction schedules. I think about my family. I think about the parents trying to get dinner on the table before practice. I think about the elderly neighbor down the street who needs consistent power for her medical equipment. I think about all of us—because I’m not just a BGE employee. I’m a BGE customer, too.
I’ve been with BGE for eight years now, and I’m proud to lead some of our largest and most complex transmission projects, including the Brandon Shores Retirement Mitigation Project and the Tri-County Project. These aren’t just big infrastructure efforts—they’re lifelines. They’re how we ensure that when you flip the switch, the lights come on. That your home is warm in the winter and cool in the summer. That your life runs as it should.
This work is personal for me. I’m a mom to a differently abled son, and keeping our home safe, comfortable, and powered isn’t a convenience—it’s a necessity. I know that many of you feel the same. Whether it’s for your kids, your parents, or your peace of mind, reliability matters.
How I came to BGE is a story I’ll never forget. I was attending a fundraiser for the Kennedy Krieger Institute, where my son was featured in a video. During the event, I struck up a conversation with a gentleman about my son and my professional background. Unknowingly, he turned out to be Calvin Butler, then CEO of BGE. A few days later, I received a call from a recruiter. That moment changed the course of my career—and deepened my sense of purpose.
Every day, I have the privilege of leading a diverse team of professionals who are just as committed to this work as I am. We plan carefully so the most disruptive work happens when it impacts customers the least. We bring people together—from all backgrounds and perspectives—to build something stronger, safer, and more reliable.
I know what our customers are thinking because I’m thinking the same thing. “We just want to know that the power will be there when we need it.” That’s exactly what drives me.
I don’t take it lightly that so many people are counting on us. That’s why we work with urgency, compassion, and a deep respect for the communities we serve. Because at the end of the day, I’m not just doing this for BGE. I’m doing it for my family. For my neighbors. For you.
That’s what Good Energy means to me.
